Meet Camila

Josh & I have been talking about sponsoring a child, (the closest thing we can do without adopting and without being married). We finally made a decision. We sponsored a little girl from Equador which is located in South America. I am smiling from ear to ear right now. I just love her already. We should get more information on her and she will send pictures and updates every month. We eat out at least once a week so this is something we can surly afford even if we have to pass up eating out!


Camila is a five year old, six on July 6. Here is a little about her background; typical houses there are constructed of cement, opportunities at a better life are hard to come by, and poverty makes everyday life difficult for many children and families.
As a sponsor we are able to provide her with educational resources that go far beyond tuition costs. We help provide school uniforms, supplies and books — all of which are required for children to attend school in Ecuador. Projects also offer tutoring at after-school programs like this one for students with academic difficulties. Each week, Camila will have the opportunity to participate in devotions, prayer, Bible study and praise and worship at the Compassion-assisted project.

I am THRILLED to have her in our lives and I just know she will bless us more than we will be able to help her.
